  • Medical Assistance Dental Benefits for Adults

  • Dental Providers Accepting Medical Assistance (English)

  • Dental Providers Accepting Medical Assistance (Spanish)

  • Finding Dentists and Dental Specialists in Private Practice

To find a Dentist or Dental Specialist in private practice who accepts RI Medical Assistance, see Provider Search.  Select "Dentist" under the "Type of Service" category, then click on "Find Provider" to get a list of Dentists and Dental Specialists.

Please note:  The list on the DHS website includes Dentists who have accepted Medical Assistance in the past.  Dentists on this list may not be accepting Medical Assistance when you call.  Dentists may also place limits on how many patients they treat.  For example, Dentists may only provide care to current patients, patients who live in the community in which the dental office is located, and/or patients of certain ages.

  • Dental Services in a Nursing Home

The Department of Human Services contracts with CareLink to provide a mobile dental services to residents of nursing homes who have Medical Assistance coverage.  The Medical Assistance Dental Benefit for Adults (listed above) are the covered services.  To qualify, a resident of a nursing home has to have been in the nursing home for 45 days.  See the Wisdom Tooth  flyer for more information.
