Welcome to the RI Veterans Affairs website.

All Rhode Islanders owe a debt of gratitude to our veterans who have, throughout the years and through many different wars and conflicts, protected and defended the freedoms that we all hold so dear. Our veterans are the true heroes of our time.

The RI Division of Veterans Affairs operates the RI Veterans Home, the RI Veterans Cemetery and the RI Office of Veterans Affairs. The Division also assists Rhode Island veterans and their families by providing information, links to resources, and referrals to community-based support services.

  There is a hearing of the Special House Commission to Undertake a Comprehensive Study of the Rhode Island Veterans' Home in Bristol and Develop a Master Plan for the Overall Future Direction of the Facility, Monday January 9, 3:30pm at the Rhode Island Veterans Home - South Conference Room.  Reference tot he progress of the Special Commission's work will be posted on this website.

• The Military Interstate Children's Compact Commission (MIC3)
  Military families often move between postings on a regular basis and it can be difficult for the children especially regarding their educational success.  The Compact seeks to make the transition easier for children so that they can have the same opportunities for educational success as other children and are not penalized or delayed in achieving their educational goals.  The Compact's web site provides valuable resources, news, contact information, links, and recent rulings by the Commission.
