CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee
  

Purpose

The CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee’s main purpose is to address key policy issues in the CEDARR Initiative. This includes review of CEDARR policy, program standards, operating principles and concerns critical to successful implementation of the CEDARR Initiative. The scope of CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee is the CEDARR Program. No action of the CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee will override mandates, laws, fiduciary or programmatic responsibilities of the participating State agencies.

Membership

The CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee consists of representatives from each of the state agencies that are responsible for children with special health care needs. These include:

  •    The Department of Children, Youth and Families
  •    The Department of Education
  •    The Department of Health
  •    The Department of Human Services
  •    The Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals

    There are also six (6) family representatives on the CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee and six (6) alternates. The Department directors or their designees have appointed these members.

Leadership

The Co-chairpersons for the CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee are: 
The Department of Human Services' Medicaid Director, or his/her designee, and a family representative.

Meeting Schedule

The CEDARR Policy Advisory Committee will meet at least quarterly. Additional meetings will be scheduled as required. All meetings will conform to the State of Rhode Island open meeting law.
