The Rhode Island Secretary of State’s Office is the official repository of all State
agency rules and regulations. An up-to-date electronic copy of the DHS rules filed with
the Office is available on the Secretary of
State Website. It may be difficult to locate a specific DHS rule using the site’s
search engine if you do not have a section number or citation.
The DHS rules are also available in a more user-friendly format at Rhode Island Dept of Human Services Code of Rules. The
DHS rules on this website are updated weekly to incorporate any amendments and/or
revisions filed with the Secretary of State’s office.
Despite our best efforts to ensure the accuracy of the DHS rules located on both
Websites, time lags and discrepancies sometimes occur. The official DHS Administrative
Code of Rules is only accessible, in a paper format, on-site at the Secretary of
State’s office.
